Michael Ciferri is a trained structural engineer who earned his degree from Michigan State University. He began his professional journey at EllisDon, where he worked on various infrastructure projects, including high-rise buildings and large-scale initiatives in ICI. His career took a significant turn when he joined the Life Sciences and Technology department, gaining essential insights into manufacturing operations. This experience set the foundation for his transition into leadership positions focused on enhancing production efficiency and pursuing operational excellence.

Over time, Michael advanced to the role of Director of Engineering and subsequently became a Plant Director with notable cannabis companies such as HEXO, Redecan, and Tilray, where he specialized in large-scale cannabis production. His career trajectory continued as he accepted a COO position with another cannabis firm, which allowed him to refine his oversight of comprehensive operations encompassing cultivation and distribution. Currently, as the General Manager of the Pelham site for Thunder Spirit Ventures, Michael plays an integral role in the executive team, overseeing all operations, including cultivation, post-harvest processing, and customer delivery. With his engineering background and a PMP certification from Ryerson, he applies his skills to optimize processes and drive sustainable growth within the rapidly changing cannabis sector.
